John Messinger joined Swiftships in January 2022 as Director of Proposals and Contracts. 

Prior to joining Swiftships, he worked for the U.S. Navy as a Supply Corps Officer and has 30 years experience in contracts management and proposal development – both with the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard. He has worked on programs that cover design, construction and repair of the U.S. Navy Surface Combatants, auxiliaries and amphibious warfare classes, U.S. Coast Guard cutters, commercial projects (Vidalia, LA, Hydroelectric Plant) and foreign contracts for the Australian Navy. John has also been actively involved in new business development, initial contract negotiations on major sole source procurements and program management.
