Shipyards and Drydocks
Swiftships operates four (4) yards that are located in South Louisiana and Texas. With a combined area of 80 acres of land, 70 acres of production space and 1 dry-dock of up to 55m. All yards are wholly owned by Swiftships and aligned with one another for lean operations and synergetic energy. Our strategically planned locations and operational excellence allow production efficiency, cost-saving, and control over the schedules.
Yard Site #1 – Amelia, LA
Our Military yard with large scale production for a serial production.
General Information:
- Total area of 42 acres
- 8 fabrication bays 800 x 400 x 100 with 60 tons lift capability
- 1200 linear feet of pier access and dry dock access
- Warehouse space of 800 x 60 feet
- 4000 employee capacity and 20 personnel management offices
- 1000+ parking spaces
Production Capacity:
- Craft production for up to 112 meter
- Shipbuilding, fabrication, paint, ship repair, warehousing
Yard Site #2 – Morgan City, LA
Our Military yard with a training facility for up to 100 trainees living quarters required during program delivery.
General Information:
- Total area of 27 acres with 8 fabrication bays and 2 launch platforms
- 2,500 tons dry dock with 2 x warehouse (combined space 30,000 square feet)
- 485 employee capacity and up 100 personnel management offices
- 300+ parking spaces
Production Capacity:
- Craft production for up to 65 meter
- Shipbuilding, fabrication, paint, ship repair, warehousing
Yard Site #3 – New Iberia, LA
Our Unmanned program yard, that is currently used for the construction of Autonomous Vessels programs.
General Information:
- Total area of 3.7 acres with 3 fabrication bays and 1 launch area
- 2,500 tons dry dock with 2 x warehouse (combined space of 8,000 square feet)
- 125 employee capacity and up 100 personnel management offices
- 100+ parking spaces
Production Capacity:
- Craft production for up to 55 meter
- Shipbuilding, fabrication, paint, ship repair, warehousing
Yard Site #4 – Freeport, TX
Our fabrication and small parts yard for industrial repairs and ship repairs for commercial vessels.
General Information:
- Total area of 20 acres with pier-side loading and unloading for barges
- Serves as a surge shipbuilding capability shipyard on active and future programs
- 455 employee capacity and up 10 personnel management offices
- 200+ parking spaces
Production Capacity:
- Craft repair for up to 45 meter
- Ship repair and fabrication facility
