Mr. Chuck Wythe, with three decades of experience in the military and senior executive roles, most recently served as the Chief Growth Officer for Illumen Group Inc., where he developed the company’s opportunity pipeline and led large-logo partnership efforts. Prior to Illumen, Chuck served as the Chief Revenue Officer of Cape Henry Associates, which was acquired by JANUS Research. From 2015 to 2022, he led the company’s growth strategy, marketing, and R&D initiatives. Chuck was a member of the executive steering committee, led M&A activities, and routinely served as a principal investigator for R&D efforts involving machine learning, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality.

Since founding his first company in 2001, Chuck has led teams to multiple awards, including the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Commander’s (NAWCAD) Award, the MS&T Outstanding Innovative Product Award, and recognition on Virginia’s Fast 50 list at two separate companies—three times in total—highlighting the fastest-growing companies in the state.

As Vice President of Program and Business Development at Swiftships, Chuck leads the company’s growth strategy, identifies and captures new business opportunities, and drives strategic partnerships with government and commercial customers. He works closely with the President/CEO and leadership team to enhance client engagement, streamline operations, and position Swiftships as a premier defense shipbuilder and systems integrator.
