Don Guimbellot is a dedicated professional with 15 years of experience at Swiftships, rising from Marine Electrician to Director of Autonomy Solutions. His deep expertise in Weapons Systems Integration, automation, and naval technology has been instrumental in advancing Swiftships’ capabilities in unmanned and autonomous systems.

In his new role, Don leads the development, integration, and deployment of autonomous technologies across Swiftships’ platforms. He oversees systems engineering, testing, and operational implementation of AI-driven maritime solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing and future naval programs. His extensive knowledge of electrical and control systems, automation, and robotics plays a key role in advancing Swiftships’ Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) programs.

Throughout his career, Don has contributed significantly to Swiftships’ global defense projects. He served as a trainer and warranty engineer on the Iraqi Fast Patrol Boat Project (2010-2014) and later provided technical training for the Egyptian Navy (2018-2020) on the 28m Coastal Patrol Boats. His hands-on leadership and commitment to innovation and operational excellence ensure that Swiftships’ autonomous solutions remain at the cutting edge of naval technology.

Promoted to Director of Autonomy Solutions in November 2024, Don continues to drive Swiftships’ unmanned systems strategy, focusing on enhancing automation, increasing mission effectiveness, and shaping the future of naval autonomy.
