S5: Support Ship (Mother Ship) For Multi-Domain Unmanned Systems
Fleet Force Multiplier
Multi Mission Performance
Effective and Affordable
Overview
S5: S3 Support Ships (S5) is a state-of-the-art engineering solution for LUSV, utilizing a proven Fast Supply Vessel (FSV) platform. It is an unmanned (remote or autonomous) large, high-speed Unmanned Surface Vehicle (LUSV) with long endurance, a robust aluminum hull, and a heavy-duty propulsion pack. The design is ABS-approved, with multiple configurations and a TRL 9 rating for both the craft and its technology.
Outfitted with containerized missile defense systems, strike packages, mission modules, and launch and retrieval capabilities for UAVs, USVs, and UUVs, this vessel can execute multiple missions simultaneously, including defensive and offensive surface and underwater warfare. Additionally, it can serve as a logistics support platform.
Collaborating with U.S. Navy (N95) divisions, Swiftships has enhanced the range and adaptability of its commercial platforms to create the Multi-Mission USV (MM-USV), supporting U.S. and Allied Force objectives at a fraction of the costs of traditional naval vessels. This vessel has reserve weight and space capacity, enabling clients to customize weapons, sensors, and unmanned systems to meet specific theater and mission requirements.

Militarized Unmanned and Minimally Manned Vessels
Swiftships design and constructs of fully autonomous military vessels, and offers commercial platform conversion to militarized unmanned/minimally manned vessels. We have developed many variants of our Fast Supply Vessels (FSVs), not only for full autonomy, but also for minimally manned or remote operations of the craft.
Our primary example is an offshore patrol vessel previously called Riley Claire (aka Nomad) that is one of two offshore vessels so far converted to autonomous operation. Nomad is being tested by the US Navy in multiple missions. It traveled from the Gulf Coast through the canal to the U.S. West Coast, a total of 4,421 nautical miles, with 98% of that distance in autonomous mode and the Panama Canal in manual mode.
