Karachi, Pakistan – July 23, 2025 – Swiftships proudly announces the successful launch of the Pakistan Navy’s (PN) first of the class 38-meter Gun Boat at Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works (KS&EW) today. This significant event represents a historic milestone for Swiftships and its partners, underscoring the power of international cooperation, innovation, and strategic alignment in defense co-production. The 38m Gun Boat’s design is a result of an intensive collaboration between the Pakistan Navy’s Design Wing (PDW) and Swiftships’ MENA engineering team. This joint effort achieved a complete production design cycle in a remarkable 24 months, a testament to the unwavering dedication and technical excellence of both teams.

This program signifies Swiftships’ inaugural successful co-production and program management of a defense vessel within an allied partner’s shipyard. The project is executed under a U.S. State Department-approved Manufacturing License Agreement (MLA) – 050746153 (MA-1115-21), highlighting the strategic importance and transparent nature of this initiative.

Now afloat, the 38m Gun Boat will proceed with commissioning trials, with final delivery to the Pakistan Navy anticipated in December 2025. Launching of this vessel marks the start of Pakistan Navy’s efforts to modernize and refresh its patrol craft fleet and Swiftships’ steadfast commitment to partner in this effort.
