Deputy Warehouse Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
As an integral member of the Swift team, you will be tasked as Deputy Warehouse Manager responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a range of goods. As a vital part of the supply chain process, The Deputy Warehouse Manager manages people, processes and systems, in order to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately and productivity targets are met. The Deputy Warehouse Manager is also responsible for workplace health and safety standards and for the security of the building and stock. The Deputy Warehouse Manager will be tasked with supporting the all current and future programs including Production material, Maintenance material, Facilities, Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and materials for Continuing Lifecycle Support (CLS). Shipping and receiving of materials fulfilling orders, packaging items for shipment and arranging delivery pickups. This involves the loading of materials and products as well as verifying the quantity of items received against purchase orders. You will be required to update the Swiftships ERP Dynamic AX system and track all material entering and leaving the warehouse. You will monitor inventory levels and notify Warehouse Manager of and deficiencies or inaccuracies.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with the receiving process in AX system and how AX operates
- Organize all activities & assign jobs accordingly for staff
- Perform cycle counts
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects
- Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock
- Performs other related duties as required
- Transact inventory movements using inventory control System
- Keeps area safe, clean and organized
- Unload items to be stocked in warehouses and or storage yard
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Attendance at work is an essential function of this position.
- Generate monthly P.O. status and complete inventory report of material issued and available in stock
- Follow up & control daily absence and over time of all personnel assigned in the warehouse

- Ensure that workplace’s health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock
- Maintain housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding area
- Issue Inventory report, IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, goods age report, consumption report
- Follow up ERP program against with actual activities
- Provide and promote constant motivation among staff to strive for efficient and effective warehouse operations
- Assist the warehouse Manager to manage all warehouse operations with safety and efficiency as priorities
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Education: High School Diploma
- 5 years Minimum experience Warehouse and Inventory Management systems
- Understanding large-scale organization systems
- Knowing inventory control systems
- Forklift experience highly desirable, or must become forklift certified within 30 days of employment
- Meeting physical requirements, such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods
SOFT SKILL
- Knowing Microsoft Office programs, such as Word and Excel Dashboards
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously
