Program Manager
Daniel Schurman joined Swiftships in 2015 as a Program Analyst on the Iraqi Navy Continuous Lifecycle Service (CLS) and Ship Repair Facility (SRF) program. In 2016, Mr. Schurman was named Program Manager of the Egyptian Navy Foreign Military Sales (FMS) 28m Coastal Patrol Craft (CPC) kit program. In 2017, he took the reins of the Egyptian Navy Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) 28m Coastal Patrol Craft (CPC) kit program as Program Manager. Operating global programs under both military and commercial contracts, Mr. Schurman continues to develop innovative tools and solutions to ensure performance and accountability from his team while exceeding client and stakeholder expectations. He has also provided assistance with the ISO 9001:2015 accreditation of Swiftships, contract and proposal consultation, ERP testing/reporting and implementation of proper project management practices through PMO. Previously, Mr. Schurman worked at National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administrations (NOAA) Acquisition and Grants Office (AGO) Program Management Office (PMO). Here, he worked as a Program Analyst on key programs such as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and Continuity of Operations (COOP). He also led nationwide training sessions for federal contract specialists and officers, developed online training libraries and SOPs, provided systems support for their contract writing system, developed and automated system reporting for executive management and implemented a records management system for contract files in accordance with National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) standards. Mr. Schurman attended Frostburg State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications. He then attend University of Maryland and graduated with a Master’s degree in Information Technology – Project Management. Mr. Schurman is an active member of Program Management Institute (PMI) and holds a current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. He is also an active member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics for drone piloting and aerial photography/videography.
