Director, Financial Planning and Reporting
Bilal Chaudhry is Swiftships’ Director of Financial Planning and Reporting, providing the company executives with information to make strategic, operational, and tactical decisions. A big believer in effective business strategy and results, Mr. Chaudhry supports the formulation of economically sound concepts and tools and has achieved this through the provisioning of financial controls and complex financial models. He focuses Swiftships’ corporate finance activities on controls, quantitative, and analytical support to aid decision-making, increase project revenues, decrease cost, and optimize company performance.
Mr. Chaudhry is no stranger to financial decision making and brings to Swiftships over 12 years of proven success in cost analysis, budgeting, financial projections, and reporting. This comprises of budget execution, profitability analysis, and audit. He has extensive experience with pricing negotiations and strategies, project financial controls and management, data modeling, and information management. His experience includes both commercial and government clients that include Marriott International, U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Congress, and Republic of Iraq Justice System & Navy.
Before joining Swiftships in 2014, Mr. Chaudhry worked for 10 years for a diverse and prestige range of large private and public organizations, which include PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), BearingPoint (now Deloitte Federal Consulting) and Prudential Financial. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in transactions aggregating over $200 million across a diverse group of industry sectors including commercial real estate, hospitality, medical, and aerospace and defense contracting. While at PwC he was part of the Federal Practice and served as the Finance Manager on various multi-billion dollar DoD projects that encompassed initiatives such as Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) and Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC – that involved congressional financial reporting). While at BearingPoint, he played an integral part in establishing audit controls that aided in getting current with SEC filings. He has received numerous accolades and awards that showcase his commitment to company core values, attributes, and behaviors and excellence.
Mr. Chaudhry holds a B.B.A from The College of William & Mary in Operations & Information Technology and Finance. He is a Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) and holds certifications for Six Sigma Greenbelt and Lean. He is also an avid club cricketer and has served as the Executive Secretary on one of the largest cricket leagues (a non-profit 501 c(3)) in the U.S.
